Every label starts with a record that gives its name a sound. For Underground House Foundation, that record is Smart Deep: two tracks by Zuat-zu that introduce UHF through warm electronic textures and an unhurried approach to house music.
Slow Deep leads with a mellow groove, giving the music room to breathe. Nasty follows with a deeper exploration of electronic sounds, carrying that warmth into a different atmosphere. Together, the tracks make a fitting first statement for the label, with the focus firmly on the groove and the feeling it creates.
